Effective Date: August 20, 2025
This Refund Policy covers purchases made through Apple App Store and Google Play. Purchases on those platforms are processed by the platform and are subject to the platform’s refund rules. We generally cannot override Apple’s or Google’s refund decisions.
For purchases on other platforms or via our website, see the Terms of Service and any posted refund policy there.
- A) Apple App Store (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS)
- Apple states that some App Store purchases may be eligible for a refund, and requests are submitted through Apple’s Report a Problem portal with your Apple ID.
- Apple also provides a central Subscriptions & Billing help page linking to the Start a refund request flow.
- You can check refund status by signing in to the same portal and selecting Check Status of Claims.
How to request (summary): Sign in to Apple’s Report a Problem portal, choose “Request a refund,” select a reason and the relevant item/subscription, and submit. Apple reviews eligibility under its policies and local law. Apple Support+1
Tip: Family Sharing/child accounts should use Apple’s family purchase approval features to prevent unintended charges. (See Apple Support for current guidance.)
- B) Google Play (Android/Chromebook)
- Google explains that it doesn’t give refunds for most Play purchases, but exceptions exist and depend on what you bought and how long it has been.
- You can request a refund through Google Play’s order history (Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → Report a problem).
- As a rule of thumb, requests within ~48 hours of the purchase are more likely to be handled directly by Google Play; outside that window, Google may direct you to the developer per its policy. (Details vary by region and purchase type; check Google’s current policy.)
- Google Play’s Terms of Service also note that sales are generally final except as set out in Google’s Refund Policy or a provider’s policy.
How to request (summary): In Google Play on the web or app, open Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history, select the order, click Report a problem, choose an option, and submit.
What Dunescape can do
- We will assist with technical issues that prevent access to purchased content, and we can confirm receipt validation for your transaction (e.g., restore entitlements if appropriate).
- For purchases made through Apple or Google, refund eligibility and processing occur under the store’s control. We’ll point you to the correct portal and provide supporting information if needed, but we cannot issue refunds directly for store‑processed transactions.
